WELCOME BACK DANCERS!!
We hope you have all had a happy and restful summer and are so excited to see you all again. It is also nice to see so many new faces as well. Please read through this letter, which entails all you need to know about the dress code, rules of the studio, and competition auditions.
*Please remember that all hair must be pulled up during class and all jewelry must be removed before entering the studio. There is absolutely no gum chewing in class.
Dress Codes for 2018-2019- please inform parents of dress code upon registration.
All Creative Movement- plain pale pink tights, plain pale pink leotard, pink ballet shoes. Skirts are allowed, not tutus
Beg. Tap and Tap Level 1- black tights, black leotard, black patent leather tap shoes
All Tap classes and Beg. Tap for ages (9-12)- black tights, black leotard, black split sole leather tap shoes
Beg. Jazz, Jazz Level 1, Beg. Jazz 9-12 & Musical Theatre classes- black tights or jazz pants, black leotard, black dance shorts or black leggings, and black jazz shoes.
All Jazz Levels and Lyrical 1 to 4- Tan Sophia Lucia’s. Leotard, dance shorts, or leggings. Tan or black tights. Students must be in dance wear. No t-shirts, loose tanks, or belly shirts.
All Ballet classes- black leotard, pink tights, pink shoes- no ballet skirts, no shorts, no tank tops or shorts. Hair in a bun.
Pre- Funk- Any dance wear, black jazz shoes.
Hip-Hop- no dress code. No Jeans. Sneakers.
ACRO- Unitard. Bare feet.
Open Lyrical Classes- black leotard, black tights or tan tights. Dance pants and shorts are allowed. Dance Paws for feet.
Please remember that this dress code is mandatory (this also includes all competition students). In order to create a more disciplined environment we need all students to follow the dress code. If students are not dressed appropriately then they will be asked to sit out and watch class. We appreciate your cooperation!
*All dance tuition is due by the 1st of each month. If your tuition is not paid by the 10h we will automatically take it out of the credit card that we have on file. We do not pro-rate any tuition for any month. All holidays and snow days can be made up. This includes children that miss the entire month except for one class in the month. Tuition will still be applied and the missed days must be used as make-ups. Make- ups are additional classes that are scheduled along with your monthly classes.
*Please note that there is absolutely no food or drink allowed in the studio.
*The blinds to each studio will only be opened the last 10 minutes of each class. Please do not come into the studio during class to open the blinds.
*There is always information located at the front desk regarding the recital and studio closings. All the information is posted online as well at www.loprestidancetheatre.com
Please make it a point to stop in and check in, you don’t want to be out of the loop!
DATES TO REMEMBER:
*October 1st- October 6th - Bring a Friend to class week (only for classes that are still open, please call ahead)
*October 24th- October 30th- Halloween Week- wear your costume to class. We are not responsible for damaged costumes.
*December 17th- December 22nd- Holiday Week- Wear your holiday colors to class!
*February 11th- February 16th Pajama Week- wear your comfy PJ's to class!
*March 4th- March 9th- LDT spirit week! Wear your LDT gear to class!
*April 22nd- April 27th- LDT spirit week- Wear your LDT gear to class
*The studio is closed to outside people. Meaning students cannot bring family members or friends into class to watch.
